TRANSFIRME TECHNIQUE: Tighten and Tone at Tracey Bell

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

The popularity of Non-Surgical solutions is ever on the increase. Cosmetic treatments with little down time continue to increase in popularity; the industry is booming despite any economic downturn as more pioneering perfectionists are opting for fillers and Botox over a full-on face lift. The thinking behind this stems from guaranteed, more aesthetically pleasing results, cost effective accessibility to the products and of course, the reduction and elimination of downtime- reinvention in a lunch hour.

Long gone are the days when a bit of Botox or dermal filler would do. Synergistic treatments that combine the use of peels, lasers, fillers and Botox provide effective long-term appeal with visible results.

I have used combination therapies for almost my whole working career. However, now, with advances in light therapies and laser and radiofrequency treatments, I have been able to develop and use a series of treatment combinations that clients are queuing up for. Transfirme Technique is a combination treatment used to deliver body shaping, and fat and cellulite reduction over a period of 12 weeks. The technique is made up of a number of different treatments that include some core technologies coupled with a signature method of application, they are:

1. Liposound

2. Radiofrequency (Accent RF)

3. Pixel laser

4. Powerplate (for the body)

These four treatments and technologies work synergistically because they offer a combination of synchronised photo dynamic, thermal and ultrasonic-based body shaping solutions that are tailored to contour, reshape and lift stubborn areas of fat.

Initially the Liposound device is used, which involves the application of a painless strip of conductors that deliver ultrasound to stimulate the production of noradrenalin. Noradrenalin is a hormone produced by the medulla of the adrenal gland, which activates the sympathetic nervous system, increasing the concentration of glucose in the blood. This, in turn, helps to break down the fat cells by stimulating the body’s natural lipolysis process. During this process, free fatty acids are released into the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body. Subsequently, Liposound technology is fused with the Accent RF for neocollagenesis, which is focused thermal energy delivered to the deep dermal tissues to produce a controlled inflammation. The result is both an expansion and production of new collagen, which has slimming, toning and firming results.

To maximise the resulting reduction in fat, skin tightening and body shaping, we often combine the technique with a diet of our portable protein packs. This is an exclusive, customised mélange of technical applications specifically selected to meet your clients’ age defying demands. The state–of-the-art Techno treatment reduces lines and wrinkles; illuminates, firms and tones the skin; and can eradicate scars.

This treatment combines:
1. Intense pulsed light (IPL)

2. Radiofrequency

3. Erbium Yag

Diagnosis and application of technique are both vital to each individual success. This triple laser technique combines intense pulsed light, radiofrequency and Erbium Yag to treat a range of skin problems with light at different levels. The full face can be treated as well as a focus on the peri-oral or periorbitalarea or neck regions.

The Transfirme Technique is exclusively available at The Tracey Bell Clinic- find out more at: http://www.traceybell.co.uk/body-management/the-transfirme-technique.html

LOCAL BEAUTY QUEEN USES 21ST CENTURY TECHNOLOGY TO REGAIN HER 1970S BIKINI BODY

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

TraceyBell@RozTranfield: this exclusive Zeltiq™ showcase was held at Roz Tranfield Beauty Centre introducing the 21st Century’s answer to non-surgical liposuction: CoolSculpting by Zeltiq™.The star of the night was Roz herself closely followed by of the clinic’s groundbreaking Zeltiq™ technology. The former Beauty Queen, and current businesswoman, has embarked on a journey back to the 70’s to revive her beautiful bikini body, which made her the beauty veteran she is today. Hating her midriff, she can’t help but reminisce over photos of her heyday as a model. “Back in the day, my pride and joy was my stomach- it really was my best friend in landing great modeling jobs. Time can take it’s toll though: I recently started to feel self conscious about my body and so I decided it was time to make a change.”  The beauty had been enlightened by her alien feelings when it cames to her body hang-ups. Breezing through her illustrious career on both sides of the Beauty Industry, it had only recently come to light she needed to affectively change her body. Roz has seen her beauty business boom in the Wirral over the last 16 years; she prides herself on being at the forefront of the latest trends. With the same, onset core team, Roz’s odyssey of reinvention sees herself and her team pioneering a new knowledge and understanding of aesthetic beauty. Having discovered the Zeltiq™ procedure at Tracey Bell, Roz’s treatment speaks for itself- currently on the Zeltiq™ course the results are startling and the cinematic version of the simple, effective procedure was screened during the evening’s events.

The Beauty industry has seen a takeover from non-invasive treatments. Figures show a dynamic upsurge in the past year, with 71% of patients choosing less invasive cosmetic procedures. The cosmetic industry is still in high demand: women, especially high profile businesswomen like Roz, demand more and expect more. CoolSculpting by Zeltiq™ is the non-invasive way to gently and effectively reduce pockets of stubborn fat. What makes the CoolSculpting procedure distinct is an advanced cooling technology called ‘Cryolipolysis’. By freezing the fat, frozen crystals form in the fat cells. They are kept in this state for an hour, causing them to die, and they are eventually expelled by the body’s natural metabolisms. Zeltiq™ results in a noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction, with no invasion and no downtime. No downtime means it is business as usual: visible results all in a lunch hour.

The Beauty insists: “I feel amazing. I cannot wait to finish the course. As a beauty professional, I understand the drive and determination it takes a woman in her later years to feel and look as good as she did in her twenties. With procedures like Zeltiq, which are painless and non invasive and they don’t affect your working schedule- looking amazing and restoring body confidence is not an unachievable dream but a positive reality- with proven results.”

THE BALD TRUTH ABOUT HAIR LOSS: TRACEY BELL TURNS BALDING ON ITS HEAD

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Rewind to 2007- hair care giant Brylcreem ran a poll to find out which male celebrities scored best in the hairstyle stakes. Who should you expect to appear? Certainly not the likes of Mr. Jude Law- coming in at number one, having the most luscious locks in LaLa Land; and a Mr. Gary Barlow, stealing a whopping 65% of the vote, with tresses as top as the pops. This idyllic year for both high profile celebrities has certainly been turned on its head. Both are receiving top coverage in 2011, sadly, not for their talents but are confronted with the stark realization that God found their face too pretty for a fringe. Ensue a very public balding problem.

Balding Beauty

The 'Sherlock Holmes' star's hair loss is certainly not 'elementary'.

The Tracey Bell Clinic is the first outside London to offer the DHI technique to tackle the hair-raising issue. Tracey remarks on how celebrity patronage is fuelling the demand for this groundbreaking treatment. DHI is a technique involving taking out individual hair follicles, mostly from the back of the head- genetics ensures men seldom go bald in this area. The hair from this donor area is then transplanted back into the recipient areas of the scalp. With immediate transplantation, the minimally invasive nature of the new technique diminishes the fatigue factor of hair follicles and therefore increases their overall long term survival. It also has the additional bonus of being virtually painless, you can expect a little bit of discomfort and bruising and the procedure can be complete within a day.

Wayne Rooney stunned his fans earlier this year, Tweeting: “I was going bald, so why not?” when he revealed he was openly opting for a hair transplant. By being honest with the public, he is the first, in hopefully a line of many, who are helping to improve the perceptions of androgenetic alopecia. James Garritt is a dentist at the Tracey Bell Clinic, as well as an expert in cosmetic treatments, including follicular unit extraction, the treatment of Rooney’s choice. The leading Platinum Practitioner in DHI at the Tracey Bell Clinic insists: “The more people who speak out about the surgery the better. It halts the stigma that’s been attached to balding and the methods for trying to counteract the defect. Whenever a celebrity is brave enough to reveal they have undertaken DHI there is a dramatic boost in general interest from the public within the clinic.” While surveys show that British bald men are more ashamed of their hair-loss than our European cousins, these revelations are ground breaking in turning the common consensus of balding on its head.

Rooney Peacocking as he Tweets

Though Rooney is proudly peacocking his procedure, James warns that patients of the procedure should not expect immediate results as half the transplanted hair will fall out due to trauma, though this is greatly diminished with the new DHI approach. It is expected that results will begin to show within the first few moths of the operation. The technique is suitable for anyone: even men who are almost completely bald. James says: “We’ve removed hair from the chest and transferred it to the top, but you would only do that if there really is not much hair left on the scalp.”

Hair-loss can really have a profound psychological effect. James explains “. It’s all about confidence and self esteem. Someone like Jude Law or Gary Barlow who are rapidly losing their hair could also rapidly lose their career; I know people will say: ‘oh, just shave it all off’, but not all men suit a shaven head. Some men are required to wear a suit and tie to work and a shaven head just doesn’t marry with that image.” There is nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to androgenic alopecia: bald men will only walk tall when the insults fade and there are no more false promises from shonky treatments. DHI at Tracey Bell is now paving the way for men to keep their hair on. Daily Summer Sun Protection

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Summer is a great time to get outside and rejuvenate your mind and body. But for your skin, summer means extra exposure to the sun, heat and sweat. This summer, give your skin a little TLC with these tips for healthy, refreshed skin.

It’s never too early in the year to think about applying sunscreen. The sun’s UV rays can damage your skin all year long. Even on a cloudy day, your skin can be exposed to up to 40 percent of the sun’s UV rays [source: Skin Cancer Foundation]. Be sure to take the necessary precautions to keep your skin safe.

Choose a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) rating of at least 15 [source: Mann]. For those with lighter, fair skin, try a sunscreen with a rating of SPF 30. Apply your sunscreen 20 to 30 minutes before going outside. To be the most effective, sunscreen needs time to absorb into your skin.

Don’t be frugal — apply sunscreen liberally and reapply sunscreen every two hours or after getting out of the water, since towel drying strips away sunscreen [source: Mayo Clinic]. You’ll also want to reapply lotion after exercising, as sweat can water down sunscreen, making it less effective.

Whether you have dry skin, oily skin or normal skin, don’t forget to moisturize it. Simple daily activities such as perspiring, shaving or washing your face can disrupt the skin’s natural oil and moisture level. To counteract any skin stress your daily routine causes, apply a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type to keep things soft and supple.

Now that you have added sunscreen and moisturizer to your shopping list, check tomorrow to discover how to deal with those oily patches of skin that leave you feeling greasy.

Summer Skincare

Monday, August 8th, 2011

With the hot weather about to make a resurgence we thought it best you be prepared for a scorcher so keep your eyes peeled, but stop your skin from, by reading out summer skin tips all week.

You’ve finally packed away the last of those bulky winter sweaters and found your favorite T-shirt from last year. As you throw it on and take a look in the mirror, you notice your skin isn’t exactly in tip-top summer shape. Your legs are dry and flaky, your arms have a less-than-glowing tone, and a blemish is beginning to form in an oily spot near your nose. But don’t worry — with the right care, your skin can go from sorry to showstopping just in time for summer.

Before you run to the medicine cabinet and grab the closest bottle of lotion in the hopes of magically rubbing up some healthy skin, it’s important to know what summer means for you and your skin. Sure, summer brings the added benefit of soaking up some extra sunshine, but for your skin this means exposure to UVA and UVB radiation. When the ultraviolet, or UV, index is high, your skin can burn in as little as 10 to 15 minutes [source: Sun Safety Alliance].

Summer’s warm rays also pose another obstacle to good skin care: Whether you’re exercising or just relaxing by the pool, you’re bound to sweat a bit more. For your skin, extra sweat means that dirt, oils and other environmental chemicals are trapped close to the skin and your pores. Finally, those hot days — perfect for enjoying a cool drink with family and friends — turn up the heat on your skin, too. When the skin is warm, blood vessels send extra blood to the skin’s surface to cool it off. Extra blood can turn your face red, making the skin swell and retain water while kicking oil production into high gear.

So, although summertime might try to throw you and your skin a curveball, with a few simple solutions you can hit a skin care home run and have everyone applauding your summertime glow. Check back tomorrow to learn your new daily regimen.
