Tips for dry lips

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

If your chapped lips have stolen your smile, this homemade tip will definitely work wonders.

Good old Vaseline is the best cure to battle the dry, cracked winter lips. The inexpensive petroleum jelly is the best cure for just about every dry body part you have.

In case of lips, scrub petroleum jelly into your dry and flaky lips with an old toothbrush several times a day. Trust me, this will bring back your 32 watts smile. Not only it will give your pout a glossy look, they will be in a more kissable shape than ever before.

Smear your lips heavily with vaseline before going to bed as well. You will surely wake up to wonderfully soft lips in the morning. However, if you don’t have time for this, wear a long stay lipstick and forget the gloss. Applying petroleum jelly throughout the day, will again give you softer than ever lips.

Do you have a perfect smile?

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Does a smile have to be perfect? Does it have to be white? Well, what I always say is – it’s simply down to the individual client.  I always get asked to recreate smiles, but what makes a beautiful smile?  Yes teeth,  but also gums and lips are “the frame”.

Every smile is an individual piece of art. Some clients ask for that perfect smile, attend with pictures of Angelina Jolie, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and yes, we can recreate but  individuals attend with requests for a more natural approach,  Louis Walsh is a perfect example of this.

The secret of a good smile design is to keep it simple, keep the patient in mind with regards to costs, maintenance and longevity.  Yes it’s true, a washing machine, a car or a smile doesn’t last forever – it will require maintenance and replacement.

Before and After Veneers

Smile design is a craft, a piece of art can cost as little or as much as you want to pay. All you have to do is ask the right questions and the dental team should deliver.
